What we collect

When you use Ghostwright, we collect:

• Email address (for authentication (magic-link sign-in) and delivery notifications)
• Brief content (the creative inputs you provide (genre, characters, story direction))
• Payment information (processed by Stripe; we never see or store your card number)
• Generated content (manuscripts, bibles, covers stored in your account)

What we don't collect

• No tracking cookies on the marketing site
• No third-party analytics scripts
• No advertising pixels
• No browsing history or cross-site tracking

How we use your data

• To authenticate you and deliver your books
• To process payments via Stripe
• To send you email when your book is ready
• To improve the quality of generated output (aggregated, never individually identifiable)

Where your data lives

All data is stored on AWS infrastructure in the US East (Virginia) region. Manuscripts and generated content are stored in S3 with server-side encryption (AES-256). Access is scoped to your account only.

Who we share data with

• Stripe (payment processing)
• AWS (Amazon Web Services) (infrastructure hosting)
• Anthropic / AWS Bedrock (AI model inference, your brief content is processed to generate output)

We don't sell your data. We don't share it with advertisers. We don't use it to train AI models ourselves.

Your rights (GDPR)

If you're in the EU/EEA, you have the right to:

• Access your personal data
• Correct inaccurate data
• Delete your account and all associated data
• Export your data in a portable format
• Object to processing

Data retention

Your generated books and briefs remain in your account until you delete them or delete your account. If you delete your account, all associated data is removed within 30 days.

Cookies

The marketing site (ghostwright.io) sets zero cookies. The app (app.ghostwright.io) uses a single first-party authentication cookie to keep you signed in. No third-party cookies anywhere.

Changes

We may update this policy. Material changes will be communicated via email.
